Rehabiliation Programs

Determining the Appropriateness of this Program for You

Before being considered as a candidate for the group rehabilitation program you must undergo a comprehensive voice assessment so that all aspects of your problem can be identified and the best form of treatment determined. After seeing your otolaryngology specialist have him/her refer you, by letter, to see Dr. Rammage in the Pacific Voice Clinic for a comprehensive Speech Pathology Assessment.

Cost, Schedule and Philosophy

A registration fee of $295.00 is due prior to the commencement of the program. This fee includes the cost (at a group discount rate) of the therapy manual: "Vocalizing with Ease-A Self-Improvement Guide". You should check your extended health benefits program, life insurance policy, or Worker's Compensation / ICBC claim, to determine your coverage for reimbursable speech therapy service expenses.

The program consists of 7-8 consecutive weekly sessions lasting 90-120 minutes; or 5 half-day sessions for the summer intensive workshop*. Success of a voice therapy program depends on a full commitment from participants, who will be guided through a succession of steps that allow them to restore optimal voice function. Participants should be aware that the demand for speech pathology services is very high: therefore, priority will be given to those individuals who can commit to attending all sessions of the program. In addition to participating in the regular instruction sessions, participants will be assigned take home exercises for daily practice. (Individual practice determines the ultimate success of your personal voice improvement program!)
